Meet the Educator Behind Techanddesign Academy
“I’m Ali, and I believe every student deserves the opportunity to succeed.”
For over 10 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping students develop their English language skills, build their confidence and work towards opportunities that matter to them.
I was raised in London, but English wasn’t my first language. Because of this, I understand that learning a language is about much more than memorising vocabulary or understanding grammar. It’s about finding the confidence to express yourself, ask questions and believe in your own abilities.
Throughout my teaching career, I’ve worked in schools, colleges and educational training centres across Saudi Arabia, including Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Al Khobar.
As a CELTA-qualified English language educator, I’ve supported adult learners from a variety of backgrounds, many of whom are studying English to pursue qualifications, further their education or progress towards their dream careers.
But one thing I’ve learned is that every student has a different starting point, and everyone deserves the patience and support to move forward.
Why I created Techanddesign Academy
Over the years, I’ve seen students sit quietly in classrooms, nodding when asked if they understand, even when they’re still unsure.
Sometimes they’re embarrassed to ask another question. Sometimes they need a little more time. And sometimes they simply need a different explanation.
I believe no student should feel left behind because they’re afraid to speak up.
That’s why I created Techanddesign Academy: to provide personalised English lessons where students can learn at their own pace, ask questions comfortably and receive the individual attention they need.
I enjoy teaching in a classroom, but I also recognise that some students benefit from additional one-to-one support.
Whether you’re preparing for an examination, improving your English for work or simply trying to become a more confident speaker, I want you to know that your goals matter.
“I’m not here simply to help you complete lessons. I’m here to help you build the confidence and skills to take your next step.”
And if that means explaining something again, trying a different approach or spending extra time on a difficult topic, that’s part of helping you learn.
Because your starting point doesn’t define your potential.
